CM: Partizan Belgrade striker pushing for Milan move with terms agreed – the final issue

AC Milan are still working to bring Andrej Kostic, a striker who turned 19 yesterday, but there is still a distance over offer and demand.

Milan’s scouts have been impressed by the Montenegrin’s first half of the season with Partizan Belgrade: 20 appearances and eight goals, almost all as a substitute. The investment would be primarily for Milan Futuro, but with a clear path into the first team as well.

Final sticking point

As Calciomercato.com add, Kostic wants Milan and is pushing hard to secure his move to the Rossoneri. Jovan Kirovski reached an agreement on the contract’s duration and financial terms a couple of days ago with the agent of the Montenegro Under-21 international.

Now a full agreement is needed with Partizan Belgrade, which is still not particularly close. However, contact between the two clubs is fairly constant, and there’s a clear desire to see the deal through.

Kostic arrived at Partizan Belgrade only last summer for a fee close to €1m and signed a contract until 2030. In the final agreement, Pogdorica also reserved a 20% share of the young talent’s future resale.

Milan currently do not want to break the €4m barrier: at most, they could add €2m in bonuses, but Partizan are asking for around €10m. The parties will need to find a middle ground, but a new bid is likely to be required.
