Mario Pasalic and Marco Brescianini both came up against their former club AC Milan on Tuesday night, in the 1-1 draw against Atalanta.
It took Milan less than four minutes to take the lead, and it was a memorable moment for Samuele Ricci as he got his first goal for the club. A corner was cleared to the edge of the box where the midfielder was waiting to thump home with a first-time shot that deflected slightly off Ederson.

Just over ten minutes before the break, Atalanta got the equalising goal that their pressure had probably warranted, and it was Ademola Lookman’s first of the season. Pasalic got the assist as he rolled the ball into the Nigerian who fired in at the near post, and it would stay 1-1.
The Atalanta reaction
Brescianini spoke to DAZN after the game to give his assessment after what was a hard-fought contest, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.
“Today we faced a Milan side that blocked all the passing lanes. Breaking down their defence was a great feat. However, from a personal standpoint, I’m satisfied because I hadn’t yet found many minutes, whereas today I managed to get some playing time,” he said.
“We played an excellent match against a Milan side with very strong players. Now we need to try to be a little more incisive in attack. It’s disappointing because we wanted to get a win after several draws.”

Pasalic also spoke to DAZN and he was asked what it was like to face his compatriot Luka Modric, and how things are going under Ivan Juric.
“We’ve already known the coach’s style of play. We’ve been here for a long time, so we know what he asks of us. He’s asked us a few other things, and we’re adapting. In the Modric match, it’s always nice to play against someone as great as him, to play like that at 40, really, hats off.”

Both ex Milan players. Brescianini would be useful to cover for Rabiot but it’s better to give away youth players for free and spend 15-20M on deadwood.
dont act like brescianini was any thing good at milan or the clubs he was on loan 4 years ago.
Let’s not act like he is anything good today for Atalanta. He is backup at Atalanta where he barely plays. A total of 164 minutes played so far this season. Almost half of those minutes ,70, are from yesterday’s game.
Sorry, are you reta*ded? Because it seems that you can’t read. I literally wrote that he would be a great cover player. He is a better midfielder than RLC will ever be.
🤣🤣🤣.
Besides lacking football knowledge you lack emotional intelligence. Thats why you have the need to resort to calling people names that have different opinion than your ignorant opinion.
Brescianini better midfielder than RLC will ever be?
🤣🤣🤣
At Milan? When did he play for Milan? I think he got 7 minutes. On loan he was quite ok, considering his AGE.
Pasalic, Brescianini, CdK, Maldini, Bellanova, Musah, and even Sportiello. Crazy.
Milan struggled against their high press in the first half. They closed down space very high and fast. Gave us problems + some inabiltity to split their defence.
With no CL, being fatigued is a lame excuse. Even without Puli and Rabiot this should have been a W I feel. Lucky goal gave us a point
