Alexandre Pato is one of the players which AC Milan remembers most fondly. Indeed, the Brazilian will always have a special place at the club and it’s a two-way street.
Little needs to be said about Pato, really. He is one of the best examples of a player who could’ve gone so much further if he hadn’t been struck with injuries throughout his career. However, his breakthrough with Milan was special.

There were plenty of moments in his first season where he just shone and looked like the future of the Rossoneri and Brazilian football. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t meant to be.
Pato explains love for Milan
Nevertheless, the feeling between the club and the player went above the normal. Both have remained close to each other and there is still an appreciation for Pato almost 20 years on from his debut.
A bond like that is rare in football, especially for a player who struggled with injuries, and he spoke to Sky Sport about his feelings towards the Rossoneri, via MilanNews.
“You know, it’s not just the situation, but also AC Milan, when they lose, it affects me a lot, because I care a lot about AC Milan too. For me, it wasn’t just a club, it was love. I fell in love with AC Milan as if I were in love with my own son, so I always hope they can improve a lot.
“Okay, it went badly this year, it wasn’t what they expected, but we can learn from this moment and still have the next opportunity to do better and even return to the Champions League. I wish the best for Ibra, for everyone, and that AC Milan can reach the Champions League next year.”
It’s gone Pato. I’m sorry but these generic entertainment sellers killed milanismo we all fell in love with. Many newbies, RedBird bandwagoners here won’t understand that and will attack. But I won’t hold grudge against them. They don’t know better because they weren’t here back then. They feel attacked beacuse they’re insecure.
It’s a sad period for AC Milan. One far worse that was banter era. These Wall Street key account managers running the club even intentionally left out the anniversary of the passing of the greatest and most successful president of this club ever. It’s because their egos are hurt cause they screwed up everything there is since they took over. They suffer in the shadow of the greats that were Berlusconi and Maldini who are embodiment of milanismo. And so, the club suffers too.

As was the time when we were saying that the management and policy would harm the club and were labelled the doom squad. From what I read, most fans here changed their mind, since doom is here now and everybody can see it.
