Strahinja Pavlovic has often left us lost for words, and he did so again in Serbia’s friendly against Saudi Arabia with a ridiculous goal.
In the most recent round of Serie A action, Pavlovic’s goal against Torino rightly stole the headlines as he made it 1-0 in the eventual 3-2 win. His 30-yard half-volley crashed in off the bar, and you could even go as far as to argue it’s the goal of the season so far for the Rossoneri.

Tonight, Serbia are taking on Saudi Arabia in a friendly match, given that the former have not qualified for the World Cup and are not in play-off action either. After going 1-0 down, Pavlovic pulled a stunning bicycle kick out of his locker to equalise, before Mitrovic made it 2-1 a few minutes later.

Pavlovic good defensively? 50% of Milan conceded goals this season are on him. 😂😂 He only makes it up going forward, defensively he is average at best.

Not that I’m in a special jolly mood myself right now I got a cheap laughing seeing that Bastoni got red carded so guess he is building upon his popularity in Italy there.
Italy stopped playing once they scored. Bastoni’s red made it certain Italy would lose. Sure, Italy had 2 amazing scoring chances with 10 men and really should have doubled the lead but they didn’t and paid the price for their antifootball tactics. It was inevitable that they would concede as they didn’t even try to attack or keep the ball.
Deserved loss and big thanks goes Inter players: Bastoni for obvious reasons, Dimarco being awful, Esposito blasting his penalty to the stands (really awful penalty btw!) etc.

Milan and Serie A needs more Italian players or else how will Italy improve?

Italy cannot improve whilst there are only a handful of Italians playing in Serie A (let alone in the same team).
I mean what a wonderful waste of money it was spending 17m on Estupiñán when the club already had Bartesaghi. And to be clear it’s an entirely a fluke that Bartesaghi broke into the team. If Estupiñán had played anywhere near his potential or hadn’t been unlucky, or Bartesaghi had made even the slightest error Italy would be denied another player.
This happens constantly.
Either Serie A can compete with the Premier League for transfer or it can’t. If it can’t then why are clubs wasting money on the Estupiñáns of the world?
All that celebrating inter players were doing after Bosnia knocked out Wales just to get knocked out thanks to inter players getting red cards and missing penalties

Yeah I remember when most people was saying that he had no technique and that we should just sell him. Guy has always showcased some technique in how he moves and covers and recovers the ball he sometimes just looks a bit clumsy due to his large bulky frame.
Now he is scoring screamers and bicycle kick goals 😀
He is one to keep for me but even though a club like Chelsea apparently has shown interest recently I wouldn’t be surprised if Liverpool came calling as Van Dijk isn’t exactly getting younger.

But when a club signs 10 CBs in 10 years you’ll forgive people for getting cynical.
I had watched a handful of matches with him before arriving so I was perfectly fine with us acquiring him as I had liked what I had seen and he did also show some good signs last season even if he also made some glaring errors from time to time i still overall liked what I saw in potential.
Anyways that’s fair enough but Pavlovic is a beast even though I wasn’t really expecting him to start scoring bicycle kick goals 😀
He is still bad at defending. Just check Milan conceded goals and how many of them was his fault. He will never be a top central defender as he can’t defend. He would maybe be a world class left back considering he is better going forward than defending.

Every defender makes mistakes.
I remember Costacurta costing Milan the World Club Cup Final with a howler.
A club cannot change out players every time they make mistakes or even if strikers don’t score.
Shevchenko scored just 5 Serie A goals in 02/03 before scoring 24 the following season and winning the Ballon D’or.
We need to start taking a longer term view.
As of late, Italy has been making nothing but mistakes…
