AC Milan are preparing for their game against Girona in the Champions League and reports suggest that forgotten man Strahinja Pavlovic could return.
The game against Girona holds significant weight. Not only is it the last game at San Siro in the Champions League league phase, but it could also hold substantial weight in Milan’s hopes for a place in the top eight.
Before the start of the competition, and even after the first few games, you would be forgiven for having no belief in the side about their chances. However, the Diavolo have clawed themselves back into a respectable position.
Despite the stakes in this game, Conceicao will have another ‘reset’ after this weekend’s performance. It is reported that he was left furious by the team, so changes are expected and as Milan News write, Strahinja Pavlovic could be one of those.
At present, the Serbian is likely to replace Fikayo Tomori, who is suspended, so Pavlovic will be given a chance from the first minute to impress the new head coach, alongside Matteo Gabbia – a partnership that was trialled once and never revisited.
It serves as a huge opportunity for Pavlovic, considering he was subject to offers from Turkey, however, if he proves himself to the new coach, a new partnership could blossom.
With Tomori suspended and Thiaw injuried, there’s no one else but him to partner Gabbia, hence the opportunity. Anyway, let’s hope he can perform and impress.
Ha. was thinking the same thing. The article makes it sound like this is done out of choice. What’s the alternative. Another Futuro player and then and smash what may be left of Pavlovic confidence?
Honestly I prefer him to tomori at this point. Pav will at least have the balls to make the last ditch tackle, and is actually pretty damn good at it
Tomori is pretty good at that too. Tomori makes mistakes because of lapse of concentration. Pavlovic might have a higher ceiling than him but Tomori is currently the better player.
Tell us about the time Pavlovic lead a team to a Scudetto.
Another MONCADA BUST….@😂
So glad he is getting a chance. He plays with spirit and heart. I wondered what happened to him. Hope he does well. That defence needs a change.
Hahaha! It’s not what we’re saying.Tomori conceives a lot of goals and also exhibit poor positioning.milan was lucky to won scudetto because of likes of giroud, zlatan, kessie, bennacer etc.
We won scudetto by defense especially the center back pair kalulu-tomori not by attack
Eeermmm where is Mike there? Can you recall the huge amoubt of saves Mike made the scudetto season?
Go..Pavlovic..Go..Go..Go..!!!
Forza Milan.
I want milan coach to use pavlovic and gabbia for now don’t use tomori again sell him to EPL club
We won scudetto becoz of experience of zlatan n kaer with kessier, bennacer, kalulu ,giroud etc.
i think Tomori has reached his ceiling. Maybe he needs to go back and learn some advanced defence skills or go back to basics – like watching his defensive movements back in the scudetto win year- so he can pick up one or two vital parts of his game he might dropped unknowingly.
