Strahinja Pavlovic admitted his frustration that AC Milan were unable to turn up the pressure on Inter as they lost to Lazio.
Milan went into the game with a simple mission: to win and cut the gap to Inter down to five points after their draw with Atalanta. However, Gustav Isaksen had other plans as he scored the only goal in the game in the first half, with the Rossoneri unable to muster an equaliser or anything more.
It means that Inter have actually gained one point and widened the gap to eight points. It will take a miracle now to engineer a comeback in the title race, and attention instead must be on locking up a top four spot, given Como won to move six points behind.

“We made a lot of mistakes, a lot of bad passes. Lazio took advantage of that. We should have been calmer with the ball and created more chances. But that’s football, and Lazio were clearly the better team tonight.”

“We could have applied pressure by winning this match, but even before that, we had plenty of chances to get closer to first place. I’m sad we didn’t win tonight and didn’t put Inter under pressure.”
What do you think of Leao’s angry reaction to coming off?
“To be honest, I haven’t seen it from the pitch. But that’s normal in football, there’s a lot of pressure and a lot of emotions. Everyone wants to do their best to help.”

Pavlovic is by far our most dangerous man in the attack. It is unbelievable but none of our attackers know how to play and score goal with a head. Allegri is destroying Leao by keeping him in his unnatural position. He was great as a left winger but he is clearly not a center forward. No wonder Leao lost his patience. It was about time. Support for Leao! And look at Luka Jovic in Greece… If we had Jovic in this team we would have been at the very top with at least 6 points in front of Inter because Luka Jovic knows how to position himself, how to play with head and how to score – something that our current CF’s have no clue about. Very sad and disappointing situation. Hope we can keep one of the Top 4 positions and get into CL. Nothing will be the same after this game.
