Pazzini explains why Ibrahimovic’s return to Milan would be ‘very positive’

By Isak Möller -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is seemingly getting closer to a return to AC Milan and the matter has been heavily discussed in the last week or so. The former Rossoneri striker Giampaolo Pazzini shared his thoughts ahead of Lecce-Milan.

A contract is reportedly ready for the Swede, who had a meeting with the club owner Gerry Cardinale earlier this week. The return could thus materialise in the near future and this is something that would get the fans excited.

The former Milan striker Pazzini was in the studio for DAZN (via MilanNews) yesterday ahead of Lecce-Milan. He shared his thoughts on various topics including the return of Ibrahimovic. As he described it, the effect would be ‘very positive’ for the Rossoneri.

“A player who has done what he has done is absolutely necessary, and not just in terms of image. He would serve the locker room, acting as a glue, and as a source of credibility for the players. If he really were to return, as seems to be the case, I think it would be a very positive thing for Milan,” he stated.

Milan are in desperate need of a win in the league, having claimed just two points in their last four games. Stefano Pioli will have a lot to work on during the international break, but the injury struggles are expected to be the main focus for him and his staff.
