PBP: Milan interested in Torino full-back as well as Belotti but Vlahovic remains No.1 striker target

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have their eye on two Torino stars ahead of the summer transfer window, according to a report.

It is now seemingly common knowledge that Milan are in the market for a new striker this summer given that the injury problems Zlatan Ibrahimovic continues to suffer shows he cannot be solely relied upon to lead the frontline, especially when considering the struggles of Rebic, Leao and Mandzukic in replacing him.

Journalist Pietro Balzano Prota gave an interview to Corriere Granata and was asked, among other things, about whether Milan are indeed interested in striker Andrea Belotti as a lot of different sources have suggested.

“Belotti is certainly a player they like and if there are the right economic conditions, Milan could think of evaluating his purchase. However, he is not the first name on the list: the favourite at the moment is Dusan Vlahovic, for whom Fiorentina are asking for about 60 million. However, the situation linked to Gallo remains a situation that Milan monitors carefully because the management really likes the player,” he said.

Prota was then asked to name a player that he personally would select from the current Torino squad that would be useful for Milan, and in naming a centre-back he also revealed that Milan are interested in full-back Wilfried Singo.

“Bremer is definitely one of the players I like very much, coming off an important season. The first, however, is Singo, a player that I think the Granata will hardly be able to keep hold of and whom Milan are interested in. I was very impressed with this guy and given his young age he has great room for improvement, I think he can do very well in the future. If I could remove one from Torino, I would remove him.”

  1. What is the point in wasting money on Bremer or Singo?? If we’re buying Tomori (which we should) then 100% no need for Bremer. Also, why do we need to shell out money for Singo. We have out and out starters in Calabria and Theo so all we need is a sub and if we redeem Dalot and we have Kalulu we’re all set. Additionally even if we don’t redeem Dalot I’d rather bring up a yourh product as a backup rather than waste money on a backup SB… bad choice Milan management… save all funds to get replacements we actually need (ST, RW, and maybe AM if Hakan leaves).
