According to Alfredo Pedulla, there is still a lot of uncertainty over Gennaro Gattuso’s position at Milan.
Gattuso and Milan have a good relationship, a contract, and he’s produced great results. However, the situation could change for a number of reasons.
The first: Milan in the last hours have contacted Conte who is considered the ideal candidate for the bench. Conte has given his clear availability, but at the moment he has a problem with Chelsea which will take time, there is a litigation in progress with lawyers in action.
How much time? At least a couple of months, if things do not change sooner. But the response of Conte was of absolute availability, even with the clarification of being in a very delicate moment, the one with Chelsea.
Now we have to see what will be the reaction of Gattuso who is aware of everything. He had been brought to Milan by Mirabelli and certainly would not accept such a complicated situation, even more so if there was not the trust of the ownership or management.
At the moment only the results he’s produced will help him, but perhaps even they may not be enough when serenity is no longer the same as before.
One thing is certain: Milan have already approached Conte who has asked for time. We’ll see what unravels soon.
Elliott have so far fired every single member of the previous administration, with only Gattuso left.
