Pedulla: Juventus defender waiting for Milan as idea gains momentum

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in the market for an Italian left-back to be the new back-up for Theo Hernandez and they are advancing in talks over Luca Pellegrini, a report claims.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, the Pellegrini idea is gaining momentum among the Milan management. Stefano Pioli likes the profile, and there is the possibility of an initial loan deal with an option to buy that becomes an obligation under certain conditions.

Pellegrini is also a target for Ligue 1 side OGC Nice, but now he’s waiting for Milan, even more so given the stand-by that continues at Lazio where he could have potentially returned after spending last season on loan there.

Basel’s Riccardo Calafiori has also been offered to the Rossoneri by his entourage, but he is a profile that is less convincing than Pellegrini. Now Milan hope to unblock the sale of Fode Ballò-Touré, then they will fully go for Theo’s new deputy.
