Pedulla lashes out at Milan management for Vlahovic hesitation: “You have to do it”

Alfredo Pedulla has expressed strong criticism against the AC Milan management for their hesitation regarding Dusan Vlahovic, despite the striker being a clear request of the manager.

With just five days to go of the transfer window, Milan are still looking to complete their attack with a striker. Conrad Harder, the Sporting Lisbon youngster, appeared to be close but the deal is now on the brink of falling through.

Instead, it seems Milan will shift their focus to Vlahovic, who has been Max Allegri’s first choice from the start. The Serbian striker is destined to leave Juventus and he’s willing to reduce his salary significantly as well, which is why the Rossoneri’s hesitation is so hard to understand.

Pedulla makes his stance clear

In his latest editorial for SportItalia, the journalist Alfredo Pedulla lashed out at the Milan management for even considering going against Allegri’s wishes. Especially since the deal is within their reach financially speaking.

“Milan had three months to close in on Vlahovic, the only destination truly appealing to the Serbian. Instead, they have played a mind-blowing game of cards, moving towards other strikers under the direction of intermediary Paolo Busardò, who evidently has more say in the matter than Max Allegri or Tare himself.

“The point is very simple: if you can sign Vlahovic for €20 million and the player is open to a €6-6.5m per season, you have to do it without a second thought. Also because it’s your coach’s request, and from my point of view, when a coach makes a request, he has to be satisfied in some way,” he wrote.

  1. Yes or you don’t hire that manager. You bring someone like Fonseca the mute, get him players you want and watch the sh*tshow unravel again.

  2. Okay so now Milan are getting Vlahovic and Rabiot sure we med both those player types but pls Allegri try to get Vlahovic to train on his first touch

  3. Busardo has been involved in multiple Milan transfers with Furlani. I think he has a directive to find good flip opportunities for Furlani otherwise his frequent involvement doesn’t make sense. He was involved with the Ricci transfer too if I’m not mistaken.

Pedulla is right though, Most clubs make a statement signing for a new coach when he comes in. Jashari wasn’t it. Not sure who was pushing for Jashari. Seems like Allegri always wanted Vlahovic. Tare himself said what they were looking from before the market kicked off. And yet, still no striker with the deadline approaching.

    1. I hope Juventus don’t pull one on Milan in the end. Just cancel the deal last minute and we are left with whoever they can find in the last day or two. Most people here write like Juventus will go bankrupt and it isn’t even close to that.

      1. One would think Milan hold the cards with Juve finalizing Kolo’s 60mil transfer. I think once that is done they will work out a deal with Milan for the Serb.

  4. The Vlahovic story was always going to go this way. That´s because Juventus have to get rid of him and we don´t want to pay the price. So we always had to wait until the very end. It was only today that Vlahovic said he would accept a lower wage. Now there´s still the signing fee. He has to lower that as well. If not, we probably send signed papers to either Leverkusen or Sporting to sign somebody else or perhaps strike a deal with Roma for Dovbyk. In the mean time every Italian journalist keeps trying to talk us into Vlahovic but he´s only coming on our terms so that´s why it´s taking so long.

    1. They don’t have to get rid of him. They need to make space and funds for Kolo Muani. You are really persistent in this nonsense. If they don’t get rid of him they can’t bring Kolo Muani this summer and have him. The story about his wage came 9 days ago.

      1. If they don´t have to get rid of him, then why would they be after Kolo Muani in the first place? Why don´t they just rely on Vlahovic themselves and respect the contract they offered to him? And why can´t they sign Kolo Muani unless they get rid of Vlahovic? Truth is that Vlahovic´ contract is choking Juve and we´re just waiting until everybody is out of breath so we can sign on our terms. That´s the power of having money. Juve doesn´t have money to spend but they need it.

        1. Because he doesn’t want to sign a new contract and it is obviously financially better for them not to lose him on free. But it isn’t such an issue if he doesn’t leave. It is nonsense you keep repeating.
It won’t become the truth. Juventus also rejected bids for Savona. Because they need money? It is nonsense. Why are they targeting Kolo Muani? Well if Vlahovic leaves they need a striker and if not they want to keep him close so they get him next year.

        2. And the part why can’t they sign Kolo Muani if they don’t get rid of Vlahovic? Why is Milan not signing a goalkeeper? Because we have one? Do you need more examples? It is quite simple why. They have a starter striker and backup, they don’t need another one. If Vlahovic leaves they do.

          1. It would be stupid to sign a new player while the 23M a year guy doesn’t play. It is stupidity. They already did that last year due to Motta. Backfired really bad.

  5. I don’t know if it’s some kind of tactic to wait to the last week for vlahovic as juve don’t want to lose him for free, but in any case it’s a lose lose situation. Boniface medical was embarrassing, harders collapse to follow for an unknown looks bad just get the deal done for vlahovic because right now we only have two people up front that couldn’t unlock cremonese

  6. It was always the plan to wait for the last week of mercato to go for Dusan. Time is running out for Juve which is why they have to accept our terms. Very smart move in my opinion.

      1. If they don´t let him go, it will cost them another 20 mil and they don´t get a transfer fee. I bet they´ll let him go at a lower price than 20 mil. It will probably be 15 mil + his own signing fee.

        1. And they have the player for the entire season. Scored a goal 4 minutes after coming in? You forgot this detail lol? It is like he won’t play for them and they are burning the money in a fire pit, this is how you keep describing it.

  7. I’ve been confused as well with Management dragging feet on move. It would seem they are trying to get younger, but Modric is no young man, and making a move into Top 4 is going to take a lot. There is no time for dipping toes in water competition wise. Finishing 8th last was hurtful

  8. I hope we not bring him.And we not bring nobody and we go at 15 place and this GREAT owners will sell club 😁😁
With this owners and this team we cant be better from 6th place and that is.
Camarda will score against us at Friday.

  9. They will give him 6-6.5 million because that’s what the coach is asking for??? Well, we sold Theo because he asked for it. Pulisic receives 4-4.5 and scores as many goals as Vlahović and still plays defense and participates in building the game. How will it affect other players?? Will they ask for a higher salary or be sold???

  10. Are anyone surprised at the way Milan are conducting this mercato?
Then, I dont understand what you are not understanding!?
This club is run by communists.
Do communists have a reputation of doing things in a structured, intelligen and logical way?
    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
    I´m not surprised of anything.
Everything this american shit-company (including Singer) does, goes to hell.
    We are doomed!
