AC Milan technical director Paolo Maldini has already spoken to the family of Empoli midfielder Kristjan Asllani, a report claims.
It has been known for a few weeks that Milan are seriously interested in Empoli’s Albanian midfielder and now it has been reported by Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla on Twitter (via Milan News) that Maldini has been trying to make it happen.
The president of Empoli, Fabrizio Corsi, recently said that the Azzurri would like to keep Asllani for another season and that is why Milan may have an edge over other interested teams including Inter and Napoli.
The Rossoneri would intend to buy the midfielder and then loan him back to Empoli to continue his development.
Pedulla reports that Maldini has already spoken to the family of the player, presumably to pitch Milan’s project and assure them of how his time at the club will be handled should he choose to join.
