Pedulla: Milan turn to talks with Chelsea as ‘€18-20m’ midfielder agrees pay cut to return

By Oliver Fisher -

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is pushing for a return to AC Milan this summer and the English side appear willing to try and facilitate his exit.

It is seemingly no secret that Milan want to use the summer window to strengthen the midfield, as Pioli will continue with a 4-2-3-1 but alternatives to Kessie and Bennacer are needed.

Bakayoko keeps being mentioned in the media, a player who left the Rossoneri a year ago after a successful loan spell and spent the 2019-20 season on loan at Monaco, but has never hidden his desire to return through hints on social media.

According to journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Bakayoko’s desire for Milan is so great that he has confirmed that he will accept a salary of €3.5m plus bonuses from Milan, compared to the €6m net that Chelsea pays him.

Bakayoko is desperate to rejoin the Rossoneri and believes he has taken a fundamental step towards securing that dream return, but now Chelsea must agree to a new loan deal, with a current valuation of €18-20m placed on the player.
