Pellegatti: Corporate issues at Lille put two operations on hold for Milan

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan have set their sights on Lille duo Sven Botman and Renato Sanches to reinforce the squad this summer. In recent weeks, there has been talk of an agreement for both but the operations have now stalled, a report claims.

According to Carlo Pellegatti, as cited by MilanNews, Lille are expected to sack their current president Olivier Letang. This has inevitably put the potential sales of Botman and Sanches on hold, seeing as everything goes through the president.

The rumours of an agreement for both, as the reporter highlights, are thus false and it remains to be seen what the change will lead to. Milan remain interested, there is no doubt about that, but they cannot do anything for the time being.

In the meantime, the Rossoneri have also been linked with the Club Brugge star Charles De Ketelaera. Pellegatti added that there doesn’t seem to be much to this either, meaning Milan’s mercato is relatively quiet thus far.
