Pellegatti admits €50m Vlahovic operation is unfeasible for Milan: “Out of reach”

AC Milan will not sign Dusan Vlahovic this summer, it appears. Indeed, the Serbian who has been so close for a year, if not longer, will go elsewhere.

Perhaps even before Massimiliano Allegri arrived, Vlahovic was linked to Milan. He was seen as the elite striker who could fire the Rossoneri back to greatness, but he will not fulfil that role. Even with him available as a free agent, it appears that a deal will not be done.

Finances have always been the sticking point where Vlahovic has been concerned. At Juventus, he earns around €12 million per year, which the Diavolo would never match. Then, there is the issue of his agent’s fees.

Vlahovic dream done

It is a costly operation, but even with the removal of a transfer fee, Milan will not be signing Vlahovic. Or at least this is the message from Carlo Pellegatti today, who has offered a bit of information on the situation on his YouTube channel, via MilanNews.

“The question today is about the Vlahovic issue: Will Vlahovic be the protagonist at Milan next year? I tried to understand the truth, and the truth is that in the face of voices that talk about a Milan that is trying, working, there are these rumours.

“The rumours that say he has already signed seem to me to run of those who have gone a little too far. They answered me, as always, that Vlahovic is an operation out of reach for Milan.

“Why? Because even though his contract is about to expire, Juventus is already struggling to find an agreement because it would like to offer him 7 million a year, which is already a very high figure for Milan, and then there is the commission that seems to be around 14 million.

“Plus, there would be something to give to the signing. In short, it’s a 40/50 million operation.”

  1. Apparently every 1 is too expensive, I remember before we signed Nesta, Marcotti and Co said we could never afford it, these guys get 9/10 things wrong when it comes to Milan

I know at times we do skimp, but seriously, we are 1 if not the only Italian club who could afford this deal without breaking FFp

How expensive could he be, €10-15m commission, €7-8 million a season for 3 years under €50m, his transfer value is comfortably €50m in today’s market, I do not believe the signing of Vlavovic is purely a financial one, does he want to stay in seria a?, does Allegri really want him, so many factors

  2. He’s not if we sell Leao. Not that I’m pro in selling him, but it seems like it’ll do good for both parties if we’ll still play with the 2 forwards. Dusan seems more natural on that post. Moreover if it’s Allegri that wants him.
