Pellegatti suggests Allegri’s future remains uncertain: “If other Andrés arrive”

Journalist Carlo Pellegatti has claimed that Massimiliano Allegri will only stay at AC Milan if he agrees on the plan for the future.

In the build-up to the derby against Inter, there was a wave of stories about infighting among the Milan management, which also came out around the time that rumours spoke of Allegri being unhappy with how things are being handled above him.

There has also been talk that the signing of André from Corinthians – which emerged from nowhere but has now seemingly hit a definitive roadblock – had taken Allegri by surprise. However, in his pre-derby press conference he spoke of being happy at Milan, and described the André rumours as a positive distraction.

As we wrote yesterday, Max seems like the guarantor of the project and should probably be listened to more when it comes to future planning, especially after taking a team that finished eighth last season into a Scudetto fight.

Pellegatti spoke live on Radio Rossonera and he gave a brief but rather worrying comment regarding the future of the head coach, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.

“Allegri’s future simply depends on whether there’s a shared vision next year or not. If he understands there’s a shared vision, he’ll stay. Otherwise, if other Andrés arrive, he’ll leave,” he said.
