Pellegatti confirms Arsenal’s interest in Brahim Diaz and suggests Milinkovic-Savic swap deal

Journalist Carlo Pellegatti has given an update on the future of Brahim Diaz and also suggested a swap deal involving Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The Spanish playmaker is currently in his third year on loan with Milan, with the current spell being a two-year loan. He has always enjoyed the trust of Stefano Pioli but his parent club Real Madrid have been watching his development intently and still have a big say in his future.

Pellegatti spoke during a segment on Top Calcio 24 and he revealed some interesting details regarding Brahim Diaz’s future, with his comments relayed by Calciomercato.it.

“The Milan management would like to keep Brahim Diaz, they would like to start a negotiation as if he were a new signing, forgetting the option to buy and buy-back,” he said.

“Milan start at 16 million, but there is another variable: it seems that Arteta, the current Arsenal manager, likes the player a lot. The Gunners could offer 30 million. In this case the negotiation would become complicated. There are many variables, but Milan would like to keep him.”

Meanwhile, DailyMilan reported earlier in the week that the management have reportedly begun talks with the entourage of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to discuss a possible summer move, given the midfielder is expected to leave Lazio.

“It seems that Lazio like Rebic and there is a player there who would make everyone at Milan happy: Sergej Milinkovic-Savic,” Pellegatti added.
