AC Milan should complete the signing of Sven Botman from Lille this summer as confirmations have arrived from his home country, Carlo Pellegatti claims.
Pellegatti gave some of his news on the possible deal on his YouTube channel (via MilanNews) and he rather confidently declared that ‘Botman will be a Milan player’. He claims to have ‘personally checked with sources of his Dutch agents’ who are ‘totally reliable’ and they told him that the 22-year-old will join the Rossoneri in the summer.
The journalist added that he is ‘really happy’ with the news that he has gathered because it is always a good sign when ‘Milan move quickly, well and authoritatively’.
There is also another important sign that convinces him: Botman had ‘important offers’ from other clubs but he ‘strongly wanted Milan’, which suggests that there has always been a mutual desire to make the negotiation happen in view of the summer transfer window.
Where is the CAM we need?
Exactly, we still got 4 center bks if romag leaves once kyaer fit again. Why spend 30 million on botman when we have kalalu and 2 right bks if we sign florenzi who as been good. Cam, right winger and a striker is what we need, sell krunic, saladman and casto.
Nesta 1. are you serious? Kyaer is 30+ we need young defenders and it will be a long season with lots of games and you will always have injuries.
Romagnoli WILL leave. Kjaer is 33 and one never fully returns after such injury. Gabbi just isn’t good enough.
Spare us all of your giberish please…
CD, CAM, RW is all we neeeeeeeeed. If we have enough creativity, speed and crossing Belotti who could come for free would be just what we need.
I think Noa Lang of Club Brugge is one of the most likely new additions to the team for the CAM position. It is certainly worth looking for another one though.
Botman is a good signing though. Kjaer is getting pretty old and while Tomori has been excellent and a revelation, he also had already had multiple injuries. We need more depth at CB (and Romagnoli is leaving and that’s fine because he’s worse anyway). While Kalulu has been surprisingly good, I think his best position is probably still on the right side of a back 4 (replacing Calabria and the aging Florenzi — I do like both Cala and Flor though!).
Hope he is as good as they say, i would’ve hoped we signed bremer, but make sense as he might be better in hight and strength thus gives pioli better option in set pieces
I dont see any urgency on why we need Botman that much. CB is covered with Kalulu even when Romagnoli departed. Skip Botman, Get belotti for free, and buy sanchez. Then invest the Botman money on much needed AM. We are ridiculously need reinforcement in that part. I know RW is bad this season, but Milan still have 2 players to compensate each other in that area. AM is on different story, Diaz has no natural replacement

On the other hand, Kessie missed 5 games in his career. His “replacement” MUST BE of the field, not on the treatment table…
If this happens, then we don’t need another starting CB until 2026.
