Samu Castillejo is not a target considered within the budget of Getafe which could put a halt to any chances of his exit, Carlo Pellegatti has claimed.
Pellegatti spoke on his official YouTube channel (via MilanLive) and gave an update on the future of Castillejo and the truth regarding a potential return to Spain. At the moment the deal is more ‘distant’ than it is done, despite the fact that rumours spread suggesting a concrete negotiation with Getafe was underway.
Yesterday there was talk of a slowdown because the LaLiga club do not have the €8m requested by Milan, but Pellegatti adds that there are no negotiations. The sure thing is that Castillejo is admired by the Madrid-based club but is not considered within budget.
Pellegatti then launched into a defence of Castillejo amid the growing frustration on social media that he is still with the Rossoneri.
“I want to remind the fans that they were happy with a possible sale, that Castillejo, with his possibilities and qualities, has always been committed. He is a serious player and this is an important feature. As far as I’m concerned he is a player I respect, if he stays or goes. In summary, let’s say that Getafe is interested but not under the conditions legitimately dictated by Milan,” he said.

Football is about respect. Definitely. But it is also about quality and about delivering for the salary received.
Yeah cool. I would also be committed, should they sign me?
