AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is the subject of a serious offer from Real Madrid, according to journalist Carlo Pellegatti.
With Donnarumma’s deal set to expire in 2021 attention has turned to his renewal, given the vital nature of the 20-year-old to Elliott Management’s youth project at Milan.
However, il Corriere dello Sport (via Calciomercato.com) reported on Tuesday that the Rossoneri are trying to address the issue of the renewal but it will not be straightforward.
The newspaper claimed that Mino Raiola is apparently for an increase in his salary compared to the current €6m-a-year net, something which ‘seems impossible’ on Milan’s end.
Carlo Pellegatti has published a video on his YouTube channel in which he has spoken about the future of Donnarumma.
He claims that sources have told him an important offer has arrived from Real Madrid, but that the proposal has been rejected above by Donnarumma’s entourage, with the player intent on remaining at Milan.
Therefore, the Rossoneri leadership are willing to open a proactive dialogue for the renewal of the Primavera graduate, who is one of the few players considered at a top level in the current squad.
