Pellegatti: Focus of Milan’s mercato to change after number of summer signings reaches six

By Oliver Fisher -

Journalist Carlo Pellegatti believes that AC Milan’s market will now be about raising the quality of the squad available to Stefano Pioli.

Speaking on his YouTube channel (via MilanNews), Pellegatti commented on Milan’s market strategies and confirmed that the club are hoping to take their number of summer signings up to six shortly with Mike Maignan, Fikayo Tomori and Sandro Tonali already through the door plus Brahim Diaz, Olivier Giroud and Fodé Ballo-Touré close to being done.

Milan will start working in the month of August to try and boost the quality of the squad with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara at work to try and seize opportunities. He adds that Davide Calabria’s recovery and return to the field should happen this week, while in 10 days we will begin to understand the condition of Zlatan Ibrahimovic after his knee surgery. He should soon return to running on the field.
