Pellegatti: Kessie’s agent tests the water with other clubs – Milan ‘risk getting burned once again’

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan risk losing another big asset on a free transfer as Franck Kessie’s agent is testing the water with various clubs, a journalist has claimed.

Carlo Pellegatti spoke about Kessié’s renewal during a video published on his YouTube channel, and reported that there have been no big developments on the possible extension of the Ivorian midfielder’s contract, which expires on 30 June 2022.

After the first set of talks with Milan, Pellegatti states that George Atangana – Kessie’s agent – is touring Europe to see who could sign Kessie on a free transfer next year with a higher salary than what he would receive from Milan and of course with the consequent high commissions for the agent.

A new Gigio Donnarumma case could therefore arise’ as per the journalist, because Kessié’s entourage might want to wait before signing anything with Milan, to see if it is possible to get more money elsewhere. However, Kessié wants to stay at Milan and his will matters, but Milan ‘risk getting burned once again’.

  1. Damn. Just give him the money. That’s not a big price for the most important man in the squad and obviously one of the best midback in Europe.

  2. Pay Kessie. Period. He’s earned it. Future captain. Did we not learn our lesson? Pay the man and don’t repeat the Donnaruma mistake again – cannot let a player leave for free.

    1. Kessie played just one good season, for God’s sake! Should we ask his agent to pay some of the salary back for the 3 bad seasons he had been with us???

He is not all-rounded world class DM yet! He can leave for whatever money he’s to get!

Bring back Pobega and give him the SAME amount of patience and playing time: 3-year of patience and non-stop playing time. I am pretty sure Pobega will become excellent player for us.

      1. You do make a point , but replacing him with pobega will only take club backwards , we have to stop treating Milan like its some kind off training place where players come to develop and then we sell them , we need silverware now , it’s been too long for a team of Milan’s history to not win anything for over a decade , let’s stop buying mediocre players it’s time to invest in proven talent.

    2. It’s not our lesson to be learned. It’s Kessie & his agent who should have learnt that this game will not be tolerated here.

Don’t want to read about Kessie & his agent all year long again. Sell the man, before it gets even more annoying.

  3. Honestly I wldnt mind cashing in on him if he wants to be greedy Just get 50m on him and the marceto is set we cud get to quality DM at 30m (Kamara and bakayoko). The remaining 20 shd go for sabitiza Which I Know we wld still have around 5m left

  4. Our Costacurta said about dollaruma,

“I can’t enter his head because we are different. We used to have agents too, good agents. We decided to stay at Milan without overthinking about it.”

“We probably earned less than what we could, but we stayed at Milan. I don’t think Milan can raise their offer, as Maldini said, they have a budget to respect. So, if they find an agreement, they’ll continue together, otherwise no.

So, Just sold Kessie this summer!
