Carlo Pellegatti claims that he has heard AC Milan would reject the chance for Milan Futuro to be reinstated into Serie C.
The Futuro project was created ahead of the 2024-25 season as a development team to help some of the young talents manage the transition to senior football better from the Primavera. They were put in Serie C – the third tier of Italian football – but were relegated via a play-off defeat to SPAL.

Things have gone better in Serie D from a results point of view. However, there remains a lot of talk that the B-team could make the jump back up a level even if they do not earn promotion on the field, because there would be a priority of sorts for a repechage.
Pellegatti brings ‘incredible’ news
Carlo Pellegatti has spoken about the situation at Milan Futuro in a video on his Instagram. He claims that even if the Futuro did have the chance to go back to the third tier, they might turn it down.
“I’ve heard a disconcerting rumour that I don’t want to believe. If Milan Futuro were to be reinstated from Serie D to Serie C, they’re telling me the club is considering refusing and staying in Serie D,” he said.
“It’s incredible. This movement was born to improve and nurture young talent into the professional ranks. I thought it would be a walk in the park for Milan Futuro, but instead we were relegated last year.”

Thought it would be a walk in the park? What planet are you living on? The transition from junior talent to senior level is very complicated, and hard to predict. I would not be surprised if it is easier to nurture talents initially in Serie D (cf. Barcas strategy).
“I thought it would be a walk in the park for Milan Futuro, but instead we were relegated last year.” This old geezer answered his own question as to why the club might make this decision, if it’s even true. Pellegatti needs to retire.
What do you mean by ‘retire? He is only 76 years young
And he has been senile for a decade already. Oh well…
in serie C mean board need more investment,
player like Camarda, Zeroli, Comotto, Torriani won’t make it in serie A/ B if they fail in C, D is too low, even Juve2 is in C
