AC Milan will have to sign at least two midfielders this summer as Sandro Tonali has left for Newcastle and Ismael Bennacer is injured. Davide Frattesi has been mentioned, but Carlo Pellegatti has now urged the club to sign another player.

Everything suggests that Frattesi is the No.1 target for the midfield as things stand, but the €40m demand of Sassuolo makes it a questionable move. The Rossoneri have other names on their list, therefore, which you can read about here.
In his latest video on Youtube (see below), Carlo Pellegatti addressed the midfield situation and shared his thoughts on Frattesi. Instead, of the Italian, he wants Milan to sign Sergej Milinkovic-Savic who is set to leave Lazio this summer.
“I would like to send an appeal to the management. There is a player who, perhaps, could alleviate the suffering from the sale of Sandro Tonali. There is only one and it’s not Frattesi, even if I hope we take him, but Milan will never spend €40m on him.
“Let’s talk about SMS, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. I hope that the Milan directors will realise that Pioli would like him on a technical level, he’s an all-round player, he’s the best aerial player in the league, who perhaps wants to seek new stimuli in a new environment.
“I hope that Milan will take him with a blitz like Galliani. Between Frattesi and Milinkovic-Savic, I would prefer the Serbian. €35m for Milinkovic + €20m for Loftus-Cheek make €55m and Milan would have two great players on a technical level,” he stated.
It remains to be seen what will happen but it seems next week is decisive, with both Inter and Milan set to meet Sassuolo to discuss Frattesi. After then, we will know where the focus will be.
