Pellegatti: Milan more optimistic about securing full-back despite Man Utd’s €20-25m demands

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan now have a better chance of securing the return of Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot, according to one journalist.

Dalot was brought in by Milan ahead of the season as they needed a full-back that could play on both sides of the defence. It was a season of ups and downs for the Portuguese youngster, but he showed his versatility by playing both on the right and the left side of defence.

According to Carlo Pellegatti’s latest for Calciomercato.com, it seemed that the situation was lost as Manchester United wanted €20-25m to sell the defender, but now the Rossoneri management seem less pessimistic about the operation even if the negotiation is not considered a priority.

The former Porto man had a wonderful U21 European Championships and he was well integrated at Milan, always highly appreciated for his work as a serious professional and showed growth game after game.
