Pellegatti: Renato Sanches track cools again as Mendes raises salary requests

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are currently unlikely to sign Renato Sanches because he has raised his salary requests once again, according to one journalist.

There continues to be an abundance of speculation about the future of the Portuguese midfielder who has been linked with a move to Milan for months now, though nothing suggests that an agreement is imminent.

Carlo Pellegatti spoke on his YouTube channel (via MilanNews) and reported that his impression is that his agent Jorge Mendes has gone back to asking for the same salary amount as he did in January, when the midfielder did not arrive at Milan due to it being too high.

That is why there is currently not much of a chance of seeing Sanches join, but maybe later in the mercato there will be an opportunity for things to be explored again if he has not joined another club in the meantime.

  1. Thanks to Jorge Mendes, this transfer will not go through.
Now, we can focus players that matters not injury proned players who are not big club players.

    1. It is not Mendes. If anything he’s one of the few agents that tend to help us. Our management is slow, they have not even renew Maldini.
What did you think was going to happen? They keep waiting and waiting and waiting, at some point other clubs will notice and take advantage. IF we are to be cheap, we gotta be fast. (like Porto, Benfica, Borussia D. )

      1. Mendes didn’t help Milan lol. He asked €30 million for Leao back when no knows who the F Leao is. He’s not different compare to Raiola.

  2. Makes all the sense in the world. It’s always been clear to me that Renato will go to the team that pays him and his agent the most. Simple as that. And knowing the agent that he has and how much more PSG is offering, it’s normal they give Milan a chance to match or come as close as possible to PSG offer which is never going to happen. I think that if out budget is as limited as it was reported a few days ago, which seems to be the case, neither a Kessie replacement nor a Romangoli replacement are absolutely necessary. We had the best defense in the league last season with Tomori, Kalulu and Kjaer when he was available. We never needed to spend a lot of money on a fourth CB who’s probably going to have about as little playing time as Gabbia did last season. With Renato, it’s a similar situation. Sure, it would be nice to get a quality Kessie replacement for the midfield, but talking priorities, we have Tonali, Bennacer, Pobega, Adli and Krunic can play there too, we have 5 players that we could use. We could improve that but it’s nowhere near a priority. Since we’ve already got Origi, the vast majority of the budget should go to the RW and AM/No. 10, because that’s what needs a real quality reinforcement.

    1. Im totally agree with RocketRacoon. Priority scale here is right wing and forward, not other positions. In other position, we can improve the player that we already have. Especially with limit amount of transfer budget. And Pioli is good to make a mediokre player into a star. Look at Kalulu, Tomori, Mike, Tonali and Leao…

    2. You can have 10 midfeilders if you want but none of those dude can replace Jessie, get a quality midfeilder and not hundreds of mediocre, Milan need a midfeilder seriously, the only midfeilders we have now is tonali and benaccee, others are just dust

  3. Ziyecha i de Katekara uzeti a ostalo što bude u mladim jeftinim talentima ! Usput još zadržati Romagniolija i rješen problem !!
