New signing Pietro Pellegri has revealed his delight to have sealed a move to AC Milan from Ligue 1 club Monaco, insisting it is a ‘dream’ to have joined.

A statement on the club’s official website has confirmed that Pellegri has joined the Rossoneri on a temporary basis with the option of permanent acquisition which becomes an obligation upon the occurrence of certain conditions. He will also be the first ever No.64 in Milan’s history.

Pellegri spoke to Milan TV about his feelings upon joining the Diavolo, with his comments transcribed by MilanNews.

“I have only positive feelings, because I returned to Italy and to a great club like Milan. It is a chance to redeem myself and return to my home in Italy. Since I was little my father has passed on to me the passion of football and playing for this club, which is the most successful club and also the biggest clubs in the history of football is spectacular,” he said.

“Certainly I arrive here with a great desire to grow and improve and I will try to learn the best by looking at my team mates who are certainly two great champions like Ibrahimovic and Giroud. I know I’m here to learn and improve. I really like attacking in behind and shooting in space.

“For me, family is everything, it has been very helpful and has also been close to me in difficult and beautiful moments. I can’t wait to start training with my new teammates. I wrote to Ballo-Toure before formalising everything and he advised me to come here because it is a top and professional club.

“I remember Ronaldinho, Inzaghi, Ronaldo the phenomenon, Seedorf, Pirlo all of them. I was little I looked at them, I had stickers, played on the playstation.”
