CorSport: Summer signing could finally make debut as a substitute vs. Venezia

By Oliver Fisher -

It could finally be time to see AC Milan striker Pietro Pellegri make his debut for the club after arriving in the summer, a report has claimed.

According to the latest from il Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews), tonight could be the night that Pellegri’s name is read out by the stadium announcer Gegio to announce that he is entering the field.

He was a signing backed by Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara in the summer as they were unsure about the physical condition of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud given they are 39 and 34 respectively.

The Monaco loanee has not been used by Pioli so far but against Venezia – after several days of training with the rest of the team and getting up to top condition – the right day for his debut may have arrived, with the most likely scenario being an appearance off the bench.
