CorSport: £72m Arsenal winger could be available for €30m – Milan monitoring the situation

Yet another report has emerged claiming that AC Milan are watching winger Nicolas Pepe’s situation at Arsenal with interest.

It has been widely documented that Milan are targeting a new right winger for the 2022-23 season and beyond given that Alexis Saelemaekers and Junior Messias have failed to offer guarantees in both consistency and the end product they provide.

According to il Corriere dello Sport, Pepe might look to change clubs in the summer given he has played just 864 this season, with 3 goals and 5 assists to his name. After showing glimpses of his ability in his first two seasons following his £72m arrival from Lille, Pepe is struggling to show what he can do in the current campaign.

The arrival of Mikel Arteta meant he was sidelined and almost forgotten, and it is now believed that he could be let go for a figure of around €30m which could be a great opportunity for some clubs.

Milan are observing the situation and could sit at the negotiating table with London club in the summer, but it will also depend on where Arsenal finish in the table and how deep a squad they want ahead of a potential Champions League return.
