Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon made sure he left San Siro with Daniel Maldini’s shirt after Thursday’s Coppa Italia semi-final first leg.
The 42-year-old started in net for the Bianconeri as the two sides played out a 1-1 draw marred by controversy towards the end of the game.
Buffon of course had many famous battles with Paolo Maldini, but it was his son Daniel Maldini who was on the bench for the game, remaining an unused substitute.
In the mixed zone after the game, the Juve veteran was seen leaving with Daniel’s shirt over his shoulder, and he told reporters: “In my collection I have Chiesa and son, Thuram and son, Weah and son, and now Maldini and son. I’m waiting for their grandchildren.”
