It has been a positive pre-season for Comotto so far, having been given plenty of minutes by Ruben Amorim despite his young age (18). Indeed, the feeling is that he will remain with the first team for this season, acting as a deputy for the two midfield roles.

Yesterday, as Milan faced Chelsea in Indonesia, he got to play from start alongside his childhood idol Luka Modric. Understandably, even if the scoreline was far from positive, the youngster took the opportunity to post an old photo of himself and the veteran.
“Dreams come true ✨,” he wrote as the captain for the post.

Modric is expected to take Comotto under his wings this season, helping him continue his impressive development. He couldn’t have asked for a better mentor, that’s for sure, so he needs to treat this as a fantastic opportunity. Hard work will be necessary, in other words.
