The orthopaedic surgeon that saved Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s career, following the serious injury sustained at Man Utd, has passed away. On Instagram, the Swede has paid tribute to the doctor.
Freddie Fu, as his name is, was crucial for the revival of Ibrahimovic’s career after what was a very serious knee injury. At his age, it seemed the striker would be forced to retire early but with the help of the doctor, he made his way back.
On Instagram, Ibrahimovic published a nice message after hearing the news: “Freddie Fu gave me a second chance in my career. I’m still on top just because of him. I owe him everything. Thank you Freddie Fu. Rest in peace”.
