Franck Kessie is a key player for Milan and also Ivory Coast, currently on international duty with the team at the Olympics. During the first game earlier today, the midfielder managed to get on the scoresheet.
Ivory Coast beat Saudi Arabia by a scoreline of 2-1 and Kessie played an important role in that win. Not only did he perform on a very high level throughout the game, but he also restored the lead in the second half.
Receiving the ball on the edge of the box, he shifted it onto his left foot and buried it to the keeper’s left. On Instagram, he shared his thoughts on the positive start: “Nice first victory! This is the best way to start the Olympics!”.
