Rafael Leao has been awarded the ‘Player of the Month in Serie A’ award by EA FC for September. Given the stats of the Portuguese winger, one can only agree with the verdict.
Leao played a total of five league games for Milan in September, four of them from start, and found the back of the net three times. Furthermore, he assisted an additional two goals.
One of the goals scored was the acrobatic finish against Roma and one can understand why EA FC have named him the player of the month. The winner against Hellas Verona also comes to mind, as they were three crucial points.
👏 @RafaeLeao7 is @EASPORTSFC's Player of the Month for September in Serie A.

Wow this is a bet that Tonali would have lost for sure haha Lautaro scored 9 goals with 2 assists in September but he isn’t player of the month
It’s a popularity contest unfortunately. Why EA FC is a joke. Anyone that’s watched game has watched Leao just go through the motions multiple times. He’s the most talented player at Milan no question, but, he goes through the motions here and there. Lautaro should have been player of the month
Leao is a great footballer. Maybe this is a “make-up” call that we see all refs’ do.
