Photo: AC Milan’s squad as things stand – from Plizzari to Colombo

By Isak Möller -

Some movement is expected for AC Milan on the mercato this summer and while it has been a slow start, a domino effect is awaited. Currently, though, the Rossoneri have a lot of outcasts in the squad.

As highlighted by today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo below or above), there are several players in Milan’s squad currently that won’t be part of it for the upcoming season. For example, Alessandro Plizzari and Lorenzo Colombo will both leave on loan.

The same can be said for Matteo Gabbia who, most likely, will join Sampdoria. Then you have players like Leo Duarte (who will be redeemed by Basaksehir) and Tiemoue Bakayoko, who certainly aren’t part of the Rossoneri’s plans.

Junior Messias hasn’t been redeemed by Milan yet and Zlatan Ibrahimovic hasn’t renewed, hence why they aren’t in the graphic.

  1. Im still trying to figure out how this average team with no star players and an average coach win the scudetto. This team of nobodys overacheived and was favoured by other teams. But it wont happen twice.

    1. butthurt 😂 they win and its with a bit kuck and football, oh i wish ill see you comment when Milan win again next season, write off Milan more, thats more satisfying winning like that, against Inter Juventus Roma and so on who buy expensive players but not that clever 😂

  2. Are you a hater? Are you used to big money, and seeing players who make big bucks but cannot play good football; it’s a shame that money has changed our perspective about seeing good players. Some of those that you’re used to see cannot play good football and that’s why Milan won the Scudetto
with mediocre players. It’s not the name of the players, but winning is what matters most. PSG could have won the champions league with just names but the y got thrashed because they don’t know how to play good football.
