Photo: Milan’s goalkeeper kit sold out less than 24 hours after Giroud’s save

Olivier Giroud was forced to be the goalkeeper for AC Milan last night, due to Mike Maignan’s red card. The Frenchman made a crucial save and as a result, the goalkeeper kit has now sold out.

The veteran striker stepped up and put on the gloves in a very tough situation, with Milan leading 1-0 and Genoa awarded a free-kick in a great position. The free-kick ended up hitting the bar and Giroud then made a crucial save a few minutes later.

Earlier this afternoon, Milan announced that they would start selling ‘Giroud 9’ printing on the goalkeeper shirts and some sizes were already sold out at that point, as custom printing was available. Now, all of the sizes are sold out.
