Filippo Terracciano played from start in AC Milan’s 1-0 win against Udinese last night, replacing the suspended Theo Hernandez. After the game, Christian Pulisic joked with the youngster about the defensive duties.
Hernandez was sent off against Fiorentina and since he insulted the referee, he was suspended for two games. The first game on the sidelines took place yesterday and Terracciano got the chance in his place, making his second appearance as well as start of the season.
As we discussed in our player ratings, the 21-year-old did okay and certainly enough to get a pass at 6/10. In the second half, he did get quite a lot of help from Christian Pulisic with the defending on the left, keeping the clean sheet intact.
On Terracciano’s celebratory post on Instagram, Pulisic left a comment saying “I’ll cover the second post 🤪”. Obviously meant as a joke, and the youngster took it on the chin: “Thanks for the help brother, really appreciate it 😂”.
Milan will be upon against Club Brugge next and seeing as Hernandez’s isn’t suspended for that game, he will certainly start. The Bologna game next weekend has Terracciano’s name written all over it, though.

For a guy being forced to play out of position, he gets far too much stick. Especially when he’s giving no complaints and just doing what he can. Ppl seem to forget we didn’t buy him to play left back
