Olivier Giroud and Theo Hernandez made it all the way to the World Cup final with France but lost on penalties to Argentina. Nevertheless, it was a great tournament for the AC Milan duo.
Giroud bagged four goals and became the all-time top goalscorer for France, while Hernandez scored one goal and bagged two assists. In short, the Milan duo proved themselves during the tournament.

On Instagram, they both thanked the France fans. Giroud simply wrote ‘Thanks!’ with a photo of the greeting in Paris, while Hernandez wrote the following: “Failure is part of football. We will come back stronger. Thanks for all your support”.
