AC Milan got over the line against Empoli at San Siro on Sunday afternoon, winning 1-0 to jump above Juventus into second place after they drew with Atalanta.
It was far from a vintage Milan performance, particularly in the second half when the pace of the game dropped and they were missing chances to kill the game off, but Christian Pulisic’s goal – disallowed at first then given after a VAR review – proved to be enough.
