AC Milan were back at Milanello for a morning session today, following the tough defeat to Atalanta last night. Indeed, the Rossoneri have no time to rest as they will face Newcastle in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The clash against the English side is scheduled for 21:00 CET on Wednesday and Milan need to clinch all three points. Furthermore, they also need Borussia Dortmund to beat Paris Saint-Germain, making qualification rather unlikely for the Rossoneri.
As stated on the official website, Milan had a training session this morning at Milanello, having breakfast together before. The starters in yesterday’s game carried out recovery work, while the rest were out on the pitch to do some athletic and technical exercises.
The session concluded with a mixed in-house friendly with the Primavera boys, consisting of two 20-minute halves. Rafael Leao took part in the entire training session and he should be back from start against Newcastle, which is a huge boost.
Simon Kjaer, on the other hand, resumed his personal program and a recovery for Wendesdat remains unlikely. This means that Theo Hernandez will remain the starting centre-back against Newcastle. Below are some photos from today’s session.
