CM: From unknown quantity to fundamental resource – Kalulu a symbol of Milan’s vision

Pierre Kalulu passed his latest test on Thursday evening as he put in a very good shift as a centre-back during AC Milan’s 3-1 win over Roma.

Calciomercato.com writes that Kalulu has essentially become a symbol of the potential that Milan’s project has. The work of the scouting department has so far been bearing fruit and the young Frenchman is an example of this given that he arrived at Milan as somewhat of an unknown quantity, but is proving to be a valuable asset.

He came on a free transfer from Lyon (for a small development fee) and without ever having made his debut in the first team, but with his work at Milanello he gained the esteem of his team-mates and the truth of the head coach. Not only that, but Kalulu has also shown excellent flexibility because whenever and wherever he is needed to play, he always responds.

He has played right-back, left-back and also centre-back already this season and did a good job keeping Abraham, Mkhitaryan, Zaniolo and the other Roma forwards quiet when called into action, and now he is a fundamental resource for Milan.
