MN: Pioli considers Berardi the perfect signing – asking price set as Maldini reflects

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking at a potential upgrade for the right wing role and they are studying the possibility of making a move for Domenico Berardi, a report claims.

MilanNews writes that the Rossoneri management and Stefano Pioli like Berardi a lot because he has a profile that fully matches the requests of the head coach for a potential new right winger: the ability to score and assist, good in possession in 1v1 situations and willingness to sacrifice in helping defensively.

Sassuolo though always have a high asking price for their best players and their CEO Carnevali wants around €30m for the Italy international, and it is unlikely that Milan will be able to spend that amount.

However, the leaders are doing some reflecting on whether it might be simply too good an opportunity to strengthen in a key area and – depending on other operations in the market – there might be some possibility of finding a meeting point.

    1. But the thing is we need someone who can perform NOW and not MAYBE potentially in the next few years. Berardi will contribute to +20 goals guaranteed. That’s 4-5 times what the RWs do right now. That’s a huge difference.

  1. IF Maldini offered 12 mil for Romain Faivre, who is 23, better athlete, way more skilled and with higher upside than Berrardi, than for Berrardi he shouldn’t offer anything over 10.
Berrardi has inflated stats because he plays in a mid to bottom table club without any aspirations or pressure. . He is Allesio Cerci 2.0

    1. Faivre has an empty head, he isn’t worth even 5M.
Talks with news reporters like they are his agent, braindead.

  2. Sassoulo mart always expensive , better look somewhere with more quality than Berardi. No big club’ want to buy Berardi too, so we can use Berardi as last option if we cannot find quality RW. No need to hurry pay Berardi transfer fee

    1. You can buy a similar player for 5.5M, not that far from Berardi whatever anyone says. Messias. Either we get an upgrade or no point in spending a lot when you can get a player like Lingard for free on that position

  3. They will probably offer 15M + bonuses, if they accept fine. I would honestly rather get Lingard for free than pay for this guy but we need enough domestic players to be able to register a competitive squad for CL and Serie A.

    1. 4 Italian from AC Milan academy : Calabria, plizarri, pobega,Daniel Maldini or gabbia
4 free nation from Italian club academy: Tonali,Florenzi,Parisi or Cambiasso,Romagnoli or Viti . Rule from UEFA only 4 Italian player from AC Milan academy ( minimum 2 years on AC Milan academy) and 4 player ( Italian or non Italian ) from Italian club academy ( minimum 2 years on academy) . Even without Berardi or scamacca we already passed UEFA and FIGC rule

        1. If romagnoli out , they Will sign Vitifrom Empoli and he is from Empoli academy. Parisi are from Bologna academy while Cambiasso from Genoa academy ,just sign 1 from parisi or Cambiasso as Theo deputy LB . And including tonali from Brescia academy, Florenzi from AS Roma academy that Will be 4 . The other 4 Italian from AC Milan academy more easy to fill because Calabria, pobega,Daniel Maldini, and GK third choice ( plizarri or jungdal) on squad. We don’t need to wasted fund on sassoulo mart
