AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has responded to the rumours that the club might pursue a short-term deal for Gianluigi Buffon of Parma.
Journalist Carlo Pellegatti recently cited CalcioStyle (via PianetaMilan) in claiming that there have been contacts between Paolo Maldini and Gianluigi Buffon in the last few days with the potential that the Rossoneri would offer the former Juventus man a deal until the end of the season, while waiting for Mike Maignan to return without time pressures.
Pioli spoke yesterday in his pre-match press conference and he was asked by one reporter about the rumours linking Milan with a move for Buffon, and his response was transcribed by SempreMilan.it.
“This is a bomba. We are recovering players, when we have all recovered we will be complete,” he said.
The ‘bomba’ that Pioli refers to is the phrase often used to describe a sensational story from the media that is design to attract clicks rather than anything which is a concrete story.
Why not to try it. Buffon is campioni. Already have the Aura and i think it can be positive energy for milan.
