There is a chance that Stefano Pioli makes 11 changes to the starting line-up as Mike Maignan may not start either, according to a report.
According to Peppe Di Stefano of Sky (via MilanNews), there is a chance that Maignan will not play in goal from the first minute against Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara this afternoon.
If Pioli decides to give the Frenchman a rest in view of Tuesday night’s game against Napoli in the Champions League, then his back-up Ciprian Tatarusanu would take his place, and he has already seen plenty of action this season.
The importance of Tuesday’s second leg in Naples is obviously well known, however Milan are in the heat of the battle for a top four spot to ensure they play in the Champions League next season at all, and they face a Bologna side who have been in great form with 7 wins in 12 games this calendar year.
Please no.
Hands down the dumbest thing I have ever read on this site.
If he really does this, it means he has truly lost it.
Well he didn’t do it
Phew. Peppe Di Stefano must have had something in his coffee this morning.
Nevertheless, changing the whole outfield team is still a classic ‘Pioli’.
Personally I think it’s a mistake prioritising winning the champions league over qualifying for it. There’s hardly anychance of winning it realisticly. Qualifying for the champions league on the other hand means more chance of signing better players and keeping our best ones.
