Tuttosport: Pioli considers resting Giroud against Udinese – the solution he has in mind

For several weeks now, Ante Rebic has not been able to make the contribution that he would have wanted because of his injury problems and a period of adapting upon his return.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes how the Croatian is working hard at Milanello in the hope of finding his best condition as soon as possible, but in the meantime he scored the equaliser against Salernitana on Saturday night that at least earned a point for his side.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic still out injury, Olivier Giroud has always led the frontline in the last few games, working overtime in the process. Udinese will visit the San Siro on Friday, and Pioli would be considering giving a rest to the Frenchman and fielding the Croatian from the start.

Marko Lazetic’s name continues to be mentioned by fans, but the young Serbian striker is not yet ready to be thrown into the fray because he is undergoing an individual routine to get up to full fitness, and therefore Rebic is the first alternative to Giroud at the moment.
