Tuttosport: Pioli picking between Kalulu and Romagnoli for Cagliari game – his current idea

By Oliver Fisher -

Now that Alessio Romagnoli is back to full fitness, Stefano Pioli has a decision to make regarding the centre-back pairing he plays against Cagliari on Saturday.

Pierre Kalulu is very much the man of the moment for the Rossoneri given that he contributed in a big way to the three clean sheets in a row the team kept against Inter, Napoli and Empoli, even scoring the winning goal in the most recent victory.

In view of Saturday’s away match at Cagliari, Tuttosport (via MilanNews) report that Pioli seems willing to keeper Kalulu in the centre of the defence once again alongside Fikayo Tomori.

That means that captain Alessio Romagnoli – who has been out since limping off in the cup draw against Inter – would once again start from the bench. It is perhaps the most convincing sign yet (given he was not yet at 100% for the Empoli game) that Kalulu has jumped above him in the hierarchies.

  1. You don’t change a winning team, let kalulu start, the remaining games for Milan should be played as a final. Milan can’t afford any slip up!!!

  2. Totally agree with u we need the wining starting 11 we don’t need to draw or lose we need 3 points plus goals, slipping up this time of the season is dangerous because the top 5 teams won’t want to drop points
