CM: Pioli, Maldini and Massara all agree regarding future of Florenzi – the next steps

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have decided that they want to keep Alessandro Florenzi beyond the end of the season and have begun work to sign him permanently, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com write how Florenzi is seen as a fundamental man in the dressing room with his winning mentality but also a fundamental resource for Stefano Pioli on the field, given that he has played everywhere on the right side and even as a left-back when called upon.

In the toughest of moments like the away match against Empoli to end 2021 and the game against Hellas Verona on Sunday, Florenzi popped up with what were perhaps unexpected contributions, helping the Rossoneri to vital wins.

Pioli, Maldini and Massara very satisfied with what Florenzi has given to Milan and they have made the decision that they will sign him permanently. In the coming weeks they will try to lower the €4.5m option to buy as agreed last summer, but the outcome of the operation does not seem to be in doubt.
