AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has thanked the ownership for continuing to show their faith in him after he renewed his contract until 2025.
In a statement on the club’s official website, the Rossoneri have communicated that Pioli has put pen to paper on a contract until 30 June 2025, with his previous deal having been set to expire in June 2023.
After signing his new deal, Pioli spoke in an interview with Milan TV to talk about his feelings at adding another chapter to his story with Milan.
How do you feel?
“Emotional certainly, it was something I really wanted. I thank the owners for doing it in advance of certain deadlines: it was what I wanted. It gives me even more strength, enthusiasm and desire to do my job in the best possible way in a top club with fantastic players, a managerial area with which I know myself more and more and we relate better and better and with fans that are fantastic,” he began (via MilanNews).
How has Pioli grown over the years?
“We all grew up together. Everything we have built we have done together, everyone has put their potential at the service of the group: in doing so we have built our path, a path that still has to see us grow. We wear colours that represent the history of world football.”
Is there more of the Scudetto or the recognisable project in today’s signature?
“There is everything. It is clear that the Scudetto was a very important stage for our growth, it is equally true that this renewal means that this path has just begun. We want to stay at high levels and be competitive in Italy and in Europe, we are convinced that the path we have taken is that right.”

“Out of luck I didn’t say anything to the team, I’ll inform them tomorrow. Everything we have achieved we have done together with great passion, which will have to accompany us again on our journey.”
You always look forward to tomorrow…
“I believe that we need to work well in the present to build our future. Experienced experiences have given us so much, but looking back too much does not help us grow. We have to think about what we have done today to do better, always in progress: we absolutely have to look ahead.”
