Pioli says Milan are ‘prepared for everything’ and reveals what Brahim Diaz must do

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of tonight’s game between AC Milan and Cagliari, Stefano Pioli spoke to the media about the Rossoneri’s situation as there are just nine games left of the season.

Milan are currently on the same amount of points as Napoli (who beat Udinese earlier today) and three points ahead of Inter, who only got a draw against Fiorentina. With a win, therefore, they could keep their spot at the top and also extend the lead on their rivals.

Speaking to Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, Pioli shared his thoughts on tonight’s game and what it means for the Rossoneri. He made it clear that the draw of Inter won’t matter for their attitude.

On Brahim Diaz…

“He plays an important role for us, he will have to be good at playing between the lines and attacking the depth.”

What game are you expecting?

“We are prepared for everything. We have prepared well. The opponent have great motivation, but so do we. Whoever manages to play better has the best chance of winning: we want this.”

What does it mean to play after Inter’s result?

“We are not watching the other games, we are thinking about ours only. We cannot lose energy in watching the others.”

As said, it’s indeed a huge opportunity for Pioli’s men with the Scudetto now in sight. None of the remaining games will be easy, though, as every team has something to play for at this stage of the season.
