Pioli only missing three players for visit of Empoli: “We are focused only on the future”

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will enter the final 10 games of the Serie A season when they host Empoli at San Siro tomorrow night, and no more slip-ups are allowed.

As our colleagues at SempreMilan.it point out, Pioli at his pre-match press conference reiterated the fact that the players are energised with the right motivations to face the match in the best mental conditions possible.

“There was no need for my intervention to make it clear how important tomorrow’s game is. The experiences of the past leave us with something, but we are focused only on the future,” he said.

The Rossoneri must pay attention to details so as not to give the opponents any leverage, like they did against Salernitana and Udinese when more points were dropped against sides in the bottom half.

A crowd of around 50,000 are expected at San Siro for the game and Pioli will be without only three players: Simon Kjaer who is out with a long-term injury, Tiemoué Bakayoko who has a muscle problem and the suspended Theo Hernandez.
